In a new disturbing trend that's been happening a LOT lately, it turns out that Facebook has decided to start to "censor" what they think in their opinion is the right or wrong information that users are allowed to share with their friends.

There's been multiple instances of facebook censoring messages related to religion, politics, health and other topics recently, not allowing people to share these messages with their followers, or even "suspending" accounts that do share seemingly harmless messages.  

I'll also explain in a minute how they've hit my own website recently with their own form of censorship too, and how I think you can help me out to fight against them.

Let me show you a few examples of the disturbing Facebook censorship that's been going on...

Example 1 of Facebook censorship: 

Several months ago, a couple mothers had posted pictures on facebook of their children holding signs during a rally against GMO giant Monsanto... Facebook suspended their account deeming this activity "abusive".  Why would they censor this? Does it mean that facebook is "in bed" financially with Monsanto and no users are allowed to speak out against this biotech giant?  I don't know, but it's disturbing to say the least.

This page provides proof and screenshots of 2 different mothers that were censored by facebook about talking against Monsanto and threatened with account suspensions. 

Example 2 of Facebook censorship: 

This example has to do with religion.  Regardless of what religion you are or if you're not religious at all, it again shows censorship by facebook of topics that we should be allowed to freely share with our friends if we wanted to.  In this case, the actor and evangelical Christian, Kirk Cameron, was trying to spread the word about his new film when Facebook blocked the ability of any users to share his website by labeling his page as "abusive", "spammy", and "unsafe".  The proof of this religious censorship can be found here.  As described on that page, Kirk asked for his followers to complain about this block, and a few days later, facebook lifted the block.

We all know that religion can be a sensitive topic because so many people believe in so many different things... however, just ask yourself... if you were trying to share a message with your friends about your faith, do you think it's FAIR for facebook to censor that message and block it from being shared with any of your friends? 

Example 3 of Facebook censorship:

A couple of months ago, a popular natural health website shared a Gandhi quote with their readers and facebook threatened to ban their account and called it "abusive" and "spammy".  What?  Banning and censoring a Gandhi quote?  This is a guy who was ALL about peace, not war. Are you serious facebook?  Since when are people not allowed to share powerful quotes with their friends or followers?  You can see proof of that facebook censorship here.

Example 4 of Facebook censorship (banning nutrition articles?)

This is the one where you can help me!  I'll explain in a minute how to do that.

A couple weeks ago, facebook decided to censor any and all article pages on my TruthAboutAbs domain.  You may have noticed this yourself if you've tried to share or like any of my articles that you would have gotten an error message in the last couple weeks.  If you try to click "like", it gives you an error, and if you try to "share" the page on facebook, it gives you a message saying that the page is "abusive", "spammy", and "unsafe".

Really?!?! Since when is a nutrition article about egg yolks "unsafe", "abusive", or "spammy"?  Are you kidding me facebook? 

Or what about my article that explains some of the nutrition drawbacks of soy, corn, and wheat... yep, facebook is calling that "unsafe", "abusive", or "spammy" when you try to share it with your friends.  Ridiculous huh.

First of all, the claim of "unsafe" is downright ludicrous and is a false claim that could be considered false Defamation against me... I have some of the best website hosting in the business, and our domain is also certified and tested by McAfee with a daily scan of the site 365 days per year to assure our website is SAFE and with ZERO vulnerabilities. 

Let me show you examples of Facebook censoring our TruthAboutAbs article pages:

Censored article example:  
Are whole eggs or egg whites better for you? 

This article has 51,638 likes/shares currently on facebook, but for the last couple weeks, not a single reader has been "allowed" by facebook to share this beneficial article with their friends.  Why the heck is facebook censoring an article about egg yolks?  Seriously, this is insane.

Censored article example: 
Article about how corn, soy & wheat are 67% of the average American's calories

This article has 25,639 likes/shares currently on facebook, but for the last several weeks, not one single reader has been "allowed" by facebook to share this beneficial article with their friends.  Why should you not have the right to share a nutrition article about the detriments of too much corn, soy and wheat in your diet with your friends to help them eat healthier?  Well, facebook is censoring it for some weird reason.

Censored article example:
The top 10 super-spices that protect your body

This article has 6,972 likes/shares currently on facebook... but again, they're censoring the information by NOT ALLOWING you to share this helpful article with your friends.  Nope, facebook doesn't want us all eating healthier and protecting ourselves from degenerative diseases for some reason.

Here's how you can FIGHT against this censorship by Facebook:

Just like Kirk Cameron's fans successfully overturned facebook's banning/censoring of his movie and website, you can do the same by clicking on any of my articles (any of the 3 above will work) and follow the simple steps below as shown in the screenshots...

This will take only 1 minute to do, and it would be a big help to me and all of us bloggers and health publishers that are trying to share useful information and being censored by facebook.

Follow these simple steps:

1. Click the share button (not the Like button) on any article on the TruthAboutAbs website (any of the 3 above will work).  Once you do this, you'll see the screen below.  You don't need to write anything there, so just click "Share Link", which will take you to an error message page next, and that's where you can officially complain about this censorship.

2.  On this next page, you'll see the message below about a "blocked link".  Click the "let us know" link on facebook.

3.  On this next screen, just take 1 minute to fill in the 3 spots in order to tell Facebook they were wrong for blocking this page.  In "what did you try to post" just say that you wanted to share a good article with your friends.  The next line you can paste the actual url of the article page.  And the last line, just quickly explain why Facebook has made a mistake by blocking this page, such as something like "I've been reading articles from this website for years and your claim that the site is "unsafe" is totally false.  These are useful articles I want the ability to share and not have them falsely blocked by facebook"

And that's it!  Just send it off and hopefully Facebook will stop this ridiculous censorship of nutrition articles.

Your voice can be heard in this issue and we can fight this together.

And if you see Facebook censoring other domains that you KNOW are safe and good information, please follow the same process to help those websites get unblocked as well.  As you can see from the examples at the top of this newsletter, facebook is censoring all sorts of things these days including nutrition, religion, politics, etc.

You have a RIGHT to share information with your friends without having some random employee at Facebook that might have a different opinion than you to censor your information that you want to share.  It's NOT right.
